4. In your progressiveVideo fla load the video into Flash's library using the file menu, like so:
FILE -> IMPORT -> IMPORT TO LIBRARY->neil_pub.mpg (ie your video name here).
This will automatically bring up the Sorenson wizard:
Make sure the 'import the entire video' option has been selected and press 'next'.
5. On the next screen you can choose a 'compression profile' or create your own.
For the purpose of this tutorial I selected the preset 'DSL/Cable 56kbps' and pressed 'finish' to initiate the import.
6. Now our video is in the library, so make sure the library panel is open (CTRL & L), right-click the video (apple-click for Mac)
and choose 'properties' from that menu. This pops up an embedded video properties box.
All we really need to do here is choose 'export' and save our video (as FLV), to the same location as our fla.
My neil_pub.mpg was 2.48Mb. The resulting FLV is only 816Kb. Not bad.
